Big Bird

Remember the Nissan Skyline R33 called "Big Bird" from The Fast and the Furious? It's going down and by down I mean crushed. Justin Beno bought it and another purple R33 in 2006 and 2009. When he bought the Big Bird after the movie, it wasn't in very good conditions. Not even running so Beno spent about $75,000 in Big Bird and the other one to make them like new.

Hagwalah Crash

If by now you don't know Hagwalah, it's the Arabs public road drifting. It's reckless, dangerous, etc, etc.
When it goes smooth, it's awesome and they are the heroes but when it goes bad, we can have a catastrophic accident. There's always more than on person in the car, no seat belts, traffic and many people watching this "show". It's a matter of probabilities until something bad happens. And this is one of that cases.

Shelby Cobra

Watch this Shelby Cobra replica smoking Road Atlanta with wet conditions. I like these cars since they are power monsters but it's a shame I can't ear the V8 music because of the wind sound. I believe this Cobra is also tuned since it doesn't stay too far from the Porsche 911.

Laguna Seca F1 style

Laguna Seca race track plus Rubens Barichello's F1 Ferrari V10 F2003-GA plus Bud Moeller gives you a awesome lap. Too fast I must say because an F1 can do it in a stunning 1:11.62! I could seat and watch a all race of F1 in this track. It's just brilliant. Remember that The Corkscrew is one of the most intense corners of the world. You get Gs from everywhere and in a F1 car it should be very demanding.

New Renault Alpine

This is probably the first leaked photo of the new Renault Alpine Concept, the one that marks the 50Th anniversary of the first A110. The visual is derivative from the DeZir and it has the Nissan 350Z engine. A V6 3.5L which means 400hp and 420nm (310 Lb-Ft). This might be a lot power if the structure is the tube-framed from Megane Trophy like rumors indicate.
The car will be official presented in Monaco, France this Friday.

i-Miev Evolution

In these days, car makers are making efforts to reduce the ozone layer with electric cars that produce zero emissions. If you think about it, a race car produces a lot of emissions and despite being funny for us, it's not funny for the environment. So that's why we are seeing electric race cars increasing.

Take for example this Mitsubishi i-Miev Evolution.

Weekend Video

Best save of the year¿ I guess it is but there's a problem. The rules say the driver can't be racing in front of another driver. You can explore this but this is not a real official and stuff event so they make their own rules.In any way I'll take the driver's credit because that's one hell of a win.Have a nice weekend.

Irresponsible Romanian Driver

This Romanian driver shocked me by driving in his sedan with four children in the open trunk. I don't know what was he thinking but what might be fun, it's incredibly dangerous for the kids. Come on man, they're supposed to be in the seats with seat belts! Even turning left I don't know if they could be smashed by a truck if the driver turned a little later.I wish the best luck for those children with adults like this.

Carroll Shelby

"1923-2012"

May 11Th, the automotive world lost a great man. Shelby, Carroll died from an illness with 89 years old.
Carroll Hall Shelby was born in the town of Leesburg in Texas and is health conditions were not the best when he was just a child. Shelby was a driver himself before building the cars we know. He ceased driving in the year of 1959 with a victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the Aston Martin team. Actually, the very first time he drove his father car, Shelby got a speeding ticket. This was sure a passion for great, fast, good looking cars as the ones he gave us. Rest in peace Carroll Hall Shelby.

Weekend Video

Before going to weekend I'd like to leave you a nice commercial from Shell. This is a video with the Ferrari evolution from 1950 to present passing through many countries like Italy, USA, China(?), France with their great roads. It's so good to see that the very first car they created and the following were already this awesome. In my opinion it's a great commercial.

Man survives car crash

In Russia, a car is filming when it captures a guy being flipped over into the air. The one that was stirring in the truck seems to have been stuck between the cars but maybe he got out in time. I don't know if they crashed or where friends and one car broke down or they just stop because, but that's not how you do it.

The driver got lucky since after such a violent collision with the vehicle, he survived with a broken leg and also some ribs.

Fahrradi Farfalla FXX

Do you remember the guys who made the Porsche bike version in aluminium foil? They're back and with improvements! I present you, the Fahrradi Farfalla FXX! It doesn't cost you 1.8 million dollars, it's street legal and it's 0% emissions! You're wandering what Fharradi means. Fahrrad is the German word for bicycle and the "i", well I guess it came from Apple's influences. Why Farfalla? I really don't know but it reminds me The Simpsons.

Porsche + Wet Cement

This was the most embarrassing day of someone's life! I can't believe the person, actually drove a Porsche 911 into the wet cement that the poor workers were using to repaved a road in San Francisco. Is this a case of more money than brains?

Weekend Video

This video is kinda of old but I think it's worth seeing it again. If you had a car that was about to die, how would you kill it? These folks made it in style I must say. It's awesome how the engine fell apart. In the end I felt sorry for the car but then came the slow motion with the best part, a slow-motion-laugh.

Ferrari crash

Mário Antunes, a Portuguese emigrant in Luxembourg who had return to Portugal, was driving his brand new Ferrari 360 Spider in Algarve on some tight streets at high speeds when it crashed against a Nissan Terrano II.
The Ferrari was cut in two halves. The front ended up 50 meters (164 feet) later and in the other half, Mário was still in the driver's seat with his seat belt on but unfortunately he already had passed away. On the Nissan the two persons were injured but without life-threatening. It's calculated that the Ferrari was at least 130 kmh (about 81 mph) on such narrow roads.

Messed up Engine

Today we have a 1200 horse power Scion TC in the craziest front-wheel drive race. Chris Rado the driver, was driving his car in "time-attack mode" when suddenly, the engine exploded. No worries, "I have my fire extinguisher!". Rado was able to put out the fire and keep the story for his grandsons.
