Japanese Reliability

A Finnish guy was driving last winter on his '96 Subaru Legacy when suddenly the ice that he claimed to be strong enough, cracked and the car sank into a lake. Before that, he only had time to turn off the engine and save his dogs.

Three months later, he came back and located the Subaru. After been pulled out of the lake, they gave it a shot by removing the water from the tank, changing the plugs and pouring some new fuel. A miracle! It started and did 12 miles (20km) with no problems! Still, there's some water in the tank that messes with the performance but everything else works, including headlights, wipers, etc.

Day's lesson:
If you're thinking in doing some car surfing or car skying, buy a Subaru Legacy from 1996.
